Guest Conductor China
                                                                                                                                    2011

Dr. Ron Staheli
has become widely known for what a critic has called "a profound sense of phrasing and articulation which informs all his work."  He is conductor of the Brigham Young University Singers, whose performances and recordings have brought the choir an international reputation for choral excellence.  A recent review of a BYU Singers performance described the choir as "stunning in the accuracy of its intonation, its enormous dynamic flexibility, and its beautiful phrasing."

Dr. Ronald Staheli is the coordinator of the Choral and Conducting Division at the School of Music, and the Director of Graduate Studies in Choral Music at Brigham Young University.  He appears regularly as conductor in performances involving BYU's combined choirs and orchestra.  He will tell you that playing with his six grandchildren and leading a strong, fast-paced choral rehearsal are some of the richest moments life has to offer.
